Aire is led by co-founders Hector Diaz and Adriana Gaspar, the team behind In Good Spirits, Chicago’s first boutique dedicated to non-alcoholic drinks.

Their perspective is unapologetically Mexican: shaped by family kitchens, mercados, home remedies, and everyday rituals that don’t need alcohol to feel meaningful. The name itself nods to that—aire as in breath, space, a moment to step outside and reset. Aire isn’t “inspired by” Mexico as an aesthetic; it’s built from it, with flavor, function, and story all rooted in that culture and brought forward on their own terms.

From Diagnosis to a Different Kind of Drink

Aire starts with a hard stop: Hector’s kidney cancer diagnosis in 2022. That moment reset his relationship with alcohol and what celebration should feel like after. As he and Adriana built In Good Spirits, they saw the same gap again and again—plenty of clever non-alc, almost nothing reflecting the botanicals, calm, and clarity of their Mexican background. Aire lives in that space: a functional sparkling drink built on herbs, flowers, and bark to help you slow down and stay present.

In Good Spirits is where Aire was tested in real life. On those shelves, Hector and Adriana saw what people reached for, why they were cutting back, and what was missing: low-sugar, functional, culturally grounded options—not kid-sweet, not an afterthought. The shop became their lab, shaping Aire’s profile and position. It’s still home base and community hub, while Aire steps out as its own brand—carrying Chicago energy and a distinctly Mexican point of view to mindful drinkers everywhere.
